All of them were architects of their own demise. For all the people who were murdered in their homes, in camps, forests, streets, prisons - it’s difficult to even call this justice. Nothing can rectify that kind of cruelty. What could you possibly do to accurately collect responsibility for what happened? The war criminals, they had the luxury of knowing why they were punished, unlike those who were murdered simply for existing where they were, and for who they were.
